Origami Penguins

Who would not like a penguin, I would for sure
A black and white friend whom I could adore
If I fed him fresh fish I would sing a happy song
And he would keep me happy all the day long
But mine is made of paper bent this way and that
An origami penguin who is almost quite flat
He hangs from my lamp and swirls around
A happier little penguin could hardly be found
Now I have one, I can make many more
Hundreds of penguins for me to adore
Come and see my Christmas tree full from top to toe
Penguins dressed for Christmas in a bright red dicky bow
But mine is made of paper bent this way and that
An origami penguin who is almost quite flat
He hangs from my lamp and swirls around
A happier little penguin could hardly be found
Origami Penguins don’t need to fed
Fresh fish or wear diapers when going of to bed
But they all look so pretty and work so well for me
And there are some in every room all flying free
But mine is made of paper bent this way and that
An origami penguin who is almost quite flat
He hangs from my lamp and swirls around
A happier little penguin could hardly be found
Who would not like a penguin, I would for sure
A black and white friend whom I could adore
If I fed him fresh fish I would sing a happy song
And he would keep me happy all the day long
But mine is made of paper bent this way and that
An origami penguin who is almost quite flat

In homes around the world most every ones got
Hidden away if they want them or not
A bag or a basket or some old box
Crammed full of old socks.
Socks without partners, socks alone
Singletons, socks on thoeri own
Everyones got ‘em some hide ‘em away
Old odd socks
Socks as you know start out in pairs
They go on your feet and they walk down the stairs
But as time passes they become quite flawed
Some of your socks start to look quite odd
Here’s what I’ve found let me tell it to you
Each pair of socks is composed of two
An Alpha and a beta, know you know
The make up of each duo
Alpha socks like to compete
They often get hungry and they have to eat
What do they eat I’ve heard the talk
They feed on those poor beta socks
And sometimes in that odd socg bag
The alphas go on a geedi g jag
So try to be careful all you laundry jocks
Or you might loose your arm to a mad alpha sock.
Mad Alpha Socks!
